


Intercept Minerals Ltd (formerly Uramet Minerals Limited) was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange on 19 June 2007, after acquiring the Australian exploration tenements of Elkedra Diamonds NL. The Company is currently exploring for gold in Guyana, South America (Ianna Gold Project), and for base metals, tungsten and uranium in the Northern Territory, Australia.
The Company’s 50% interest in the Ianna Gold Project is held through the Ianna Exploration Joint Venture. Intercept is the Joint Venture manager and has an option to increase its interest to 75% by payment of US$ 2.5 million to its joint venture partner (SR Minerals Ltd) prior to 15 June 2012.![]()
Intercepts’s primary focus is the exploration and evaluation of the Ianna Gold Project.
In Australia, Intercept is continuing with its base metal, tungsten and uranium projects. Exploration has however been scaled back to prioritise progress on the Ianna Gold Project.
